Disputes between Priscilla Presley and Riley Keough more complicated.
As we have reported, the Daisy Jones & The Six star has been clashing with her grandmother since her mother Lisa Marie Presley‘s tragic death in January. Two family members fought over the trust of the last musician, which included lucrative rights to The Elvis Presley Company and Graceland. Priscilla filed a petition to challenge her daughter’s wishes after learning of the 2016 decision to remove her and her former manager. Barry Siegal as guardian, replaced by Riley (and his deceased sister Benjamin Keough). This has been a major source of friction between the pair – so far they have been unable to speak.
But apparently, the bitter feud runs deeper than a matter of trust. In fact, it goes back to when Lisa Marie was in a nasty legal battle with her ex-husband Michael Lockwood. After breaking up with the 61-year-old in 2016, the singer went to court with him for years to fight for the custody of his twin daughters, Finley and Harper. During the legal dispute, Lisa Marie shockingly accused Michael of having “disturbing” child pornography photos and videos on her computer. He denied everything at the time.

Despite the serious accusations against her, Priscilla sided with Michael – something that may have led to Lisa Marie’s decision to remove her mother as guardian! Not only does this feel like a betrayal to Lisa, but it also upsets Riley – who is “definitely on her mother’s side when it comes to Michael.”
In the end, the charges were dropped, and Michael and Lisa Marie’s battle ended with them getting custody of their daughter. But with the singer-songwriter’s death, the custody issue is headed to court — and it looks like Priscilla is up against her family again!
according to DailyMail.com, the producer was granted full custody and Lisa Marie’s 14-year-old child during a brief family court hearing in Los Angeles on Friday. Judicial assistant Gus Morales explained in the outlet that the court recognized the father “de facto” full custody of Harper and Finley. California law states that when one parent dies, the other gets full custody unless the court determines they are the unfit parent. Since Priscilla never objected, nor did any other family member file documents claiming she was the unfit parent, Michael got custody of the girls.
As you might expect, Riley isn’t too happy about the decision, or her grandmother’s part. The outlet reports the 33-year-old actress is upset over the “loss” of her brother Michael, who she considers an “outsider” in the family. Given the horrendous allegations against the guitarist, no one can blame him for being concerned and angry about the legal case. It must also feel like a huge betrayal from Priscilla for hooking up with Michael – again!
In addition to getting full custody, Michael filed paperwork to be the twins’ guardian ad litem to represent them in the trust fight — and he’s definitely on Priscilla’s team. This means she can fight against Riley when the family goes to court over the matter on April 13, on behalf of their children. So no wonder the actress is upset now! (And no wonder Priscilla is on his side, if you believe the worst about him…)
