Love burns! Riley KeoughRomance with a stuntman Ben Smith-Petersen it’s a Hollywood fairy tale come true after they met on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road.
“We started dating after filming back in Australia because the crew was smaller and I got to meet him,” Keough – daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley and her ex-husband. Danny Keoughwhich also refers to Benjamin Keough’s late son – remember USA Today in April 2016. “Two weeks into dating him, we were at a gas station and I was like, ‘I can see myself having kids with this guy.’ It’s kind of like knowing I met my husband. It’s so cool.”
She added at the time: “We’re interested, but it’s deeper than that. I’ve always felt comfortable with him. You know when you feel weird when you first start dating, or like you don’t want to eat in front of them, you wake up and doing make-up or something weird? I just always felt comfortable with him, always wanted to be close to him, even from the beginning.
Nearly two years later, Smith-Petersen proposed and shared the happy news via Facebook. “That’s how it happened,” the Australian wrote in August 2014, sharing a selfie of her fiance wearing an engagement ring, made from a diamond her mother had given her.
At Daisy Jones & The Six actress and Smith-Petersen tied the knot almost a year later in February 2015 in a romantic Napa, California, ceremony, surrounded by celebrity friends including Kristen Stewart, Dakota Johnson and Cara Delevingne.
“I’m so excited! He is! We’re going to be together forever,” Riley – who was briefly engaged Alex Pettyfer in 2012 – gushed to City & Country in March 2015.”[Marriage is] the right thing [for us] to do it now. Like, I want to have kids with Ben, and I know we’ll always be close. That’s what you want whenever you get married.”
At Zola star and filmmaker quickly settled in bliss newlyweds – together with French bulldog Grubs.
“Ben got his black belt today in BJJ. He always wanted to get his black belt before he turned 30 and he did!!! I’m proud of you,” the The war ponies the actress wrote via Instagram in April 2021, praising her husband’s Jiu-Jitsu achievements.
Smith-Petersen also often shares loved-up photos of the married couple via social media.
“7 years of RAD luck. I love you to the moon & back. Please 7,000 more years,” he wrote via Instagram in February 2022, celebrating the anniversary with a wedding portrait.
