Kandi Burruss’ daughter, Riley Burruss, spoke out after her controversial scene with Georgia McCann on the latest episode of Next Gen NYC, as Kandi reacted. Riley also shared what she regretted during the episode, and Ariana Biermann hinted at how she feels about it.
In the episode, Riley suggested that Georgia does ketamine. When Georgia questioned her over the comment, Riley told her to “shut the f**k up” and “relax” before she “slap[s] this piece of pizza on your face.” Castmates later ducked their heads as Riley held up her drink, seemingly about to throw it at Georgia. At one point in the argument, Riley insinuated that Georgia shouldn’t cheers with the rest of the cast because she can’t afford a Birkin.

In another scene, Riley insinuated that her friend Ariana should have stepped in immediately and defended her. But Ariana seemed confused. Later on, Kandi called Riley to ask why articles were surfacing about the incident.
After the episode aired, Riley spoke out on Instagram.
“I obviously know what I did wrong,” wrote the star in the caption, “but hey nieces mess up too … Gibraltar baddie.”
She uploaded a video of herself walking around as the following audio played over it: “I don’t know what the heck I did wrong. I did exactly as the directions said. I made two rights and one left, and somehow this is not my therapist’s office.”
Meanwhile, on the Next Gen NYC: After Show, Riley addressed her Birkin comment.
“I honestly don’t know why I said that, because I didn’t have a Birkin at the time – I do have one now, though,” said Riley. “I think I honestly was scrolling and looking for Birkins that day, and so Birkins were just on my mind. … Emira D’Spain probably had a Birkin right next to me.”
“That was a really weird comment to make,” Riley added. “But sometimes you can only handle so much, and so sometimes your emotions get the best of you. And all you can do is learn from that and move forward.”
Later on, Riley doubled down on her claim that Ariana should have stepped in and defended her as soon as Georgia started disrespecting her.
In her own interview, Ariana said she “still [doesn’t] know why” Georgia was being yelled at.
Around the same time, Kandi commented on a clip of her phone call with Riley in the episode.
“That’s my child & Im gonna stick beside her,” wrote Kandi. “She has to learn & grow & I will support her through it all!”
