RHOSLC’s Heather Gay Shares Update on Jen Shah Friendship

RHOSLC's Heather Gay Says She'll See Jen's Friendship "Through to the End" as Whitney and Lisa Talk BravoCon Run-In and Angie K. open "Last words"

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast opened up about the post-plea relationship with Mr. Shah in a new episode of the Bravo series ‘ After the Show.

After Jen pleaded guilty to the crime of fraud after insisting she was innocent for months, Heather Gay confirmed friendship status as Whitney Rose and Lisa Barlow look back in October 2022 with a castmate at BravoCon and recall his most recent interaction with him.

“We are friends. We saw it through to the end,” Heather said on the Jan. 11 episode RHOSLC: After the Show. “We’re in a group text and we love that group text. We’ll get a random picture of Jen at 2 in the morning. It’s like, you know, because she’s still Jen, you know, and she’s great.

Meanwhile, Whitney and Lisa contact Jen before the July 2022 court hearing in what will be one of their last exchanges with their friends.

“Before he left for the test, I texted him and said, ‘Sending positive vibes,'” Whitney recalled, noting that he received a “one-word answer.”

And although Lisa said she and Jen shared their Mother’s Day greetings on Mother’s Day, she noted that Jen couldn’t “move on” and eventually returned to her social media attacks.

“They started attacking me on social media, cyberbullying me. I just got blocked from all my accounts,” explained Lisa.

As for her time with Jen at BravoCon, Whitney said she walked in and walked past her and Lisa at one of the fan convention events.

“She looked at us and she got a big reaction from the crowd and I don’t know what came over me, but I stood up and I went to her and I just said, ‘Jen, are you going to walk through the people who support you?’ ‘ And I hugged her and she said, ‘You know you love me the most,'” Whitney recalled. “It was a very brief interaction, but I felt like I had to mention something like, ‘Are you going to see me and Lisa and walk past us? It’s not cool. We have supported you more than the people you love now.’”

“She has bigger things to worry about and this, I don’t understand why Jen is still cyberbullying all the time when she’s facing punishment and won’t see her kids for a while. I can’t wrap my brain around it as a mother,” Whitney continued.

Describing a similar interaction, Lisa said that when she confronted Jen for the first time since the wrongful request, “she turned around like it was nothing.”

“I was like, ‘Don’t talk to me. You’re lying to me, I’m not interested,'” Lisa replied. “I don’t want to hurt her. I hope she and her kids are doing great. I just think it’s old Jen… You can’t continue to abuse people and tell horrible lies about them in public.

“I’m just surprised he has it, he’s focused on it instead of something more important,” added Lisa.

Also in RHOSLC: After the Show, Angie Katsanevas look back at their last interaction with one another.

“[It] there is a negative. I asked him the truth and I only asked him because I was caught in so many lies throughout the season,” Angie explained.

According to Angie, a red flag was raised when she found out that Jen continued to be friends with a man she claimed made her want to kill herself and even borrowed money and a car from her.

“Then he also said he was in the hospital for mental health and being a good friend, I called to check on him and he wasn’t there,” Angie continued. “When obviously it’s a very touchy subject and I have a lot of passion for mental illness, I asked him and said, ‘Is this even real?’ So those were my last words to him… and I never said another word to him from then on.
