Robyn Dixon and John Dixon are officially married – again.
According to a new report, the couple, who were previously married from 2005 to 2012 and have two sons, Corey, 14, and Carter, 13, said “I do” twice as cameras rolled for the upcoming seven-episode season. of Real Housewives of Potomac.
On Jan. 23, PEOPLE confirmed the news with readers, revealing that footage from the secret wedding of Robyn, 43, and Juan, 44, was filmed after production wrapped — and did not feature any of Robyn’s appearances. RHOP behind the scenes.
The outlet also revealed that Robyn is expected to talk more about the intimate wedding at the reunion, which was filmed last week.
As fans may recall, Robyn and Juan obtained their marriage license in August of last year at the Howard County Clerk’s Office in Maryland. And at that time, the county clerk confirmed that they had until February to get married.
In Sunday’s episode of RHOPRobyn was seen talking to her co-star Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Candiace Dillard-Bassett, Mia Thornton, Karen Huger, Dr. Wendy Osefo, Charrisse Jackson-Jordanand Jacqueline Blake about her impending wedding to Juan amid the cast’s trip to Mexico.
“I don’t even know if I want to get married. I didn’t know I needed one — like, a traditional wedding,” she admitted.
According to Robyn, they are hoping to keep it “super simple” with a private ceremony featuring just Juan and the kids.
“It’s only four. We don’t tell anyone,” he shared, then added, “It’s just a ceremony and that’s it. We don’t need a cake, no reception – nothing.
Then, in a statement, he further said, “The thought of a real wedding and all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it, doesn’t excite me. It just feels more special to do it privately, without worrying about other people and how they will know.
Although Robyn and Dixon continued to live together after the divorce for the sake of their children, their friendship eventually turned romantic once again. In season four, they “[doing it] like a rabbit,” and in the fifth season, he joined again.
“Twice as sweet! Thank you to everyone who loved, supported, rooted and prayed for Juan and I,” Robyn said on Instagram at the time. “We really appreciate all the love and well wishes as we start #DixonsPartDeux.”
Speaking to PEOPLE at BravoCon in October, Robyn admitted that she and Juan have grown closer through their struggles.
“I’ll be honest, if Juan and I hadn’t broken up and honestly if we weren’t on the show, we probably wouldn’t be together today,” Robyn said. “I said that because you have to come together when you have financial problems and have to support each other for their children, we want each other to go to a better place because of having children.”
“If we’re divorced and in a good place financially, he probably wouldn’t know, I don’t know, [in] California, life,” he said. “I will go to New York my life. We will not be forced to come together to try to make it work. … [But] going through financial struggles and living together and supporting each other and watching each other get better and grow and build careers, that really helped us get back together.
After their December 2019 engagement, Robyn and Juan were forced to postpone initial plans to get married due to the COVID-19 pandemic and instead chose to focus on building their dream home.
