Michael Darby prosecute Candiace Dillard Bassett for slander.
After Candiace told Ashley Darby at Real Housewives of Potomac season seven that her husband estranged her, Michael has allegedly been there to pay someone else for oral sex, Michael filed a $2 million lawsuit against her, accusing her of defamation.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ on March 2, Candiace filed the lawsuit against Michael amid a seven-season feud with Ashley.
“Ashley, your husband likes to leave you and go to someone named [censored]’s house and suck his d-ck,” he told Ashley as the camera rolled.
Then, during another scene, Candiace suggests that Michael pay for sex.
Candiace is more open about the situation in the cast confessional.
“I shouldn’t talk about this guy, but he said Michael Darby was his client. That’s what you a– asked for because I’m holding it. You want to smoke so… here!” he told the camera.
As RHOP The fans will remember, Candiace’s claims to her husband Ashley came in retaliation to the allegations Ashley had made about Candiace’s husband, Chris Bassettthat he was accused of sending inappropriate, late-night DMs and flirting with friends.
After the drama of the season, Candiace appeared in an episode of Watch What Happens Livewhere he confirmed that he and Ashley had not spoken again.
“I think after the reunion, I’m done. No thanks,” she said.
Although Michael tried to silence Candiace earlier this year by releasing a cease and desist letter, Candiace has yet to apologize to him, or take back the statements he made.
Candiace has not responded to the suit.
