The former The Real Housewives of Potomac star Katie Rost living a lifestyle far different from the one he presented to fans during his debut in season one of the franchise.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, February 3, Katie posted a photo of herself working on a new project and “keeping it real” as she revealed that she works “minimum wage” at Bethesda Co-op, an organic market in Cabin John, Maryland.
“Jesus Christ, I started working, like a real job,” he began the post. “I only get minimum wage for 8 hours of work.”
Katie added in the caption that she feels like a “real person” instead of a “reality tv person” and that she “makes $14 an hour.”
Katie took a selfie of her work in what appeared to be the vitamin aisle at the market. He was seen all smiles after completing his shift.
In the comments section, Katie responded to fans who had questions about her new job, and she described the market as “granola and hippie,” and, “better than Whole Foods.”
Many fans have praised Katie’s openness and transparency as she revealed that she works normally every day.
“I have to pay my bills. Nothing wrong,” wrote one fan.
The second praised the Bravolebrity for his “humbleness” in sharing his current situation, and he claimed that what he did was “important.”
Others were impressed, writing, “We are rooting for you Katie! This is amazing. This is like healing! And you make it look GREAT! We are so proud of you!”
Katie has recently completed her fiddle work due to her Adderall and alcohol addiction, a journey she has shared with her fans on social media since October 2022.
“There’s no shame in admitting you were prescribed it and the stuff is now physically hurting you,” she wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post.
Fans first began to show concern for Katie’s mental well-being after she began sharing erratic posts on social media in 2019, including rants to her former boss, Andy Cohen. He also asked her to come back RHOP.
“I want to work. I swear I will do everything,” he asked Andy in an Instagram post in April 2022. “I also apologize for my anger. I’m not thirsty. I just want to work.”
Katie has appeared as a guest on RHOP from time to time over the years began to loose, but Bravo has shown no interest in wanting to bring back the former model.
