RHONY’s Ramona Singer Is ‘Happier’ and ‘Calmer’ After Exit

Finding him zen. Ramona Singer open up about life post-reality TV – and said he was “never happier” since he left Real Housewives of New York City.

“Now I’m 60 years old, I’ve worked hard all my life. It’s time for me to just enjoy myself,” Ramona, 66, told in Daily Mail in an interview published on Thursday, January 26. “And doing that show is not easy. I mean, people think it’s easy. [But it’s] very stressful, very stressful.”

At Live on the Ramona Coaster author – who is a part of RHONY since its premiere in March 2008 together Bethenny Frankel, Alex McCord, Jill Zaren, Kelly Bensimon and Luann de Lesseps — said he was “happier” and “calmer” now that he was “in control [her] own narrative.”

While Ramona shared that being on the show was a “great experience” that she “won’t buy into anything,” she added that viewers are seeing a bigger version of who she really is.

“I just know how to make it [drama],” he explained. “Is that really me? Not really. Am I on steroids? Indeed.”

The New York native announced he will be leaving the Bravo series in November 2022 after Bravo exec Andy Cohen plans were previously revealed to revamp the RHONY with a brand new cast – and add a spinoff to fan favorite NYC Bravolebs.

“I don’t want to do the show anymore. It’s not for me,” the reality star said Page Six at the time, confirm he will not be part of RHONY: Legacy.

For the new crew, the TV network confirmed during BravoCon in October 2022 Sai De Silva, Replace Hassan, Erin Dana Lichy, Lizzy Savetsky, Jessel Tank, Jenna Lyons and Brynn Whitfield will lead the 14th season of the OG series. At Inheritance cast, however, has not been revealed.

“I don’t want to know about certain women. Because then it’s like, ‘Oh, well, he said yes to these two.’ The answer is: Sonja [Morgan] and Luann [de Lesseps] has been a part of the show – for Luann, since the beginning, and Sonja since season 3. So, I think, in theory, of course, Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host, 54, told variety earlier this year. “I can talk to you about a hypothetical situation involving a lot of people on the show. I think it’s great, it’s a group that’s still in each other’s lives.

While Ramona may have passed her time on reality TV, the 57-year-old Class with the Countess The author is more than happy to continue with Bravo as it moves in a new direction.

“I didn’t see it happening, but after learning about it, I’m very happy,” he said exclusively Us Weekly in March 2022. “I’m excited about them bringing back the OG cast, because you can’t fit a square peg into a round hole. I say that because sometimes you bring in new girls and they don’t fit into your group, and I feel awkward.

He added: “The new cast and the OG players are the perfect solution. I feel like they’re getting it from seeing how well they’re doing Ultimate Girl Trip work and how many fans and people like to see OG from each franchise together. … If I would go back, I would totally, because I feel very happy to be back with my old friends!”
