Theresa Judge to his wife Luis Ruelas‘ statement about wearing his late father’s pajamas. These comments were featured in the latest episode of The Real Housewives of New Jerseyin a conversation with his brother Luis Joe Gorga.
When the clip aired, some fans were confused by the comment. At that time, Luis said that he wore pajamas to make his stepson feel safer.
In an interview with peopleTeresa shared that Luis’ statement “definitely came from an endearing place. I love him more because of it.”
He explained, “This is new [pajamas] … My father has new clothes that he never wears. And it’s just new pajamas that I said, ‘Babe, these are new pajamas that my dad never used.’ … So I feel guilty.
The star then said, “Those are the new pajamas that I gave him. He had a lot of clothes that my father didn’t wear, so I gave them to him. So, for example, the only thing that I gave to Luis was the pajamas that my father never used. Same, I’m Ralph Lauren that he used. Those are not the original pajamas that my father wore.”
Teresa also clarified that Luis wanted Joe’s “approval.”
“I know he’s just coming from a place of loving my brother. He’s asking for my brother’s blessing,” said the best-selling author. “He’s like, poor man. I feel bad for him. I know he tries so hard to just want my brother, to love my brother and vice versa. And he just came from a good place. And I saw that. And that makes me love him even more because he is amazing to me and my kids.
A clip of Luis and Joe’s conversation was revealed after the March 21 episode.
“I live with your four nephews,” Luis told Joe. “I wear your daddy’s pajamas at night so he feels safe and loved, you know?”
However, Joe’s facial reaction seemed less than sympathetic.
