Dolores Catania appeared on Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live after the highly anticipated premiere of Real Housewives of New Jersey. And, when it appeared, he was asked about his potential engagement to his girlfriend Paul Connell.
Before showing Paul’s reaction Frank CataniaBuzz Lightyear diss, reveals that he is still in touch with his ex-boyfriend Dr. David Principeand more, Dolores answers questions about her and Paul’s future and whether or not they will get engaged.
“How do I know?” he wondered in the February 7 episode of WWHL. “We have talked about the future together… In particular, marriage is not the biggest goal in this relationship; Happiness is.”
During the appearance, Paul sat in the audience with his son Dolores, Frank Catania Jr.and, after being asked how long they’ve been together, he admits it’s been “like forever” before clarifying that it’s been “Maybe two years.”
At WWHL: After the ShowPaul is once again a hot topic as a virtual fan asks Dolores about how she handled Frank comparing her to Buzz Lightyear at last year’s reunion.
“Andy said, ‘Oh, but it’s funny.’ He kinda calmed me down at the moment. However, I had to go home and broke Paulie and he laughed,” he recalled. “He said, ‘You know what, that’s pretty funny.’ He takes it like a man. He takes it well, he makes jokes.”
But the joke did not end there as Dolores revealed that Frank later had a blanket made for Paul with the face of Buzz Lightyear for Christmas.
“He still hasn’t given it to me,” Paul explained, joking that he thought Frank was “scared of me.”
Back on the live broadcast, another fan wants to know if Dolores is still talking to David.
“No,” he replied. “Frank lives with them. [But] I have decided to leave the past behind for this relationship.
At RHONJ premiere, the tension between Dolores and Jennifer Aydin they were tall, with Jennifer telling her castmate she looked like an old handbag. However, upon returning, Dolores admits that she’s “not sad about it” and applauds Jennifer for apologizing. In fact, when playing games with the host Andy CohenDolores responded apologetically when asked what she learned from Jennifer.
“He called and apologized if he did something wrong before I saw it, so I’ll do it,” he said.
As the game continues, Dolores says she likes “everything [Jennifer and Bill Aydin‘s] relationship” before apparently throwing some shade her way as she said Jennifer is not a better friend to her than Theresa Judge and claims he won’t steal anything from Jennifer’s closet.
“Nothing,” he said about what he took. “I’ve borrowed things and he gave me a pair of Louboutins once.”
As the topic turns to the active drama between Teresa and Melissa GorgaDolores confirmed she didn’t choose a side.
“I’ve never separated from my family … Because you lose at the end of the day,” he said before saying it was time for him to “separate.”
“I don’t want that. I don’t. But if there is no peace in their life together, I think it’s time,” he explained.
Dolores then answered questions about Teresa’s wedding snub to Melissa.
“It’s a tough question because if they’re in a relationship, I would expect them to be involved. But the fact is that when it comes to choosing the people at their wedding, they’re not getting along, from what I understand… I don’t expect it to be at the party as Melissa,” he shared. “It’s supposed to be family but I think he chose someone close to him.”
“I think that it has made peace, yes, ask him to the party. But stay tuned, you will see,” he added.
Also in the show, Dolores confirms her friendship with him Jacqueline Laurita it’s “good,” despite Jacqueline’s past problems with Teresa.
“Jacqueline just came out to defend Teresa recently. But I always talk to Jacqueline periodically and I see her daughter [Ashlee Holmes] a lot,” he shared.
