
Jacqueline Laurita shared an update on his daughter Ashley Malleo after the 32-year-old revealed his diagnosis of bipolar II.
Both mother and daughter were popular figures The Real Housewives of New Jerseybefore Jacqueline exited the franchise in 2017.
In an interview for the “Two T’s In A Pod” podcast, Jacqueline revealed that her 32-year-old daughter has opened up about her mental health.
“He’s good. She knows, you know, she’s diagnosed with bipolar, so she’s had a lot of these issues, which explains a lot of the things she feels and experiences,” Jacqueline said, via heavy. “Now, he’s very open about it. He’s talking about it on social media, like steps and, you know, helping himself. He’s doing great.
The alum said Ashlee was “a great mom to him [six-year-old] son, Cameron” – who she shares with her ex-husband Pete the Hammer.
Last year, Ashlee first opened up about her mental health on Instagram, saying she was “diagnosed with bipolar II and BPD. [Borderline Personality Disorder]”and he” made the personal choice to start medication immediately.
In her New Year 2023 post, Ashlee reflected on 2022, revealing that it was “full of pain and stress to [her]”Although there were “a lot of amazing times,” and she was “thankful” for her therapy and support system.
Ashlee said she is “proud” of her fans who are also “struggl[ing] with mental health.”
“We did. We’ve been through another year full of ups and downs. Don’t let anyone disrespect your healing journey. The right person/s will embrace you with grace, empathy, and healthy communication no matter what. That’s for relationships, friendships, family etc… Just know that you are not broken. You are enough,” he said.
