
The Real Housewives franchise seems to be competing with RuPaul’s Drag Race for the title of fastest growing reality show. Shortly after announcing the future The Real Housewives of Abujawhich marks the second Nigerian installment of the smash-hit franchise, Showmax has revealed the cast for The Real Housewives of Nairobi (RHONairobi).
Yes, Showmax and NBC Universal formats will take the beloved global franchise to Kenya and the show will air on Showmax on February 23, 2023, with new episodes dropping every Thursday.
Just this month, Showmax and Multichoice have opened two new seasons of the franchise, one set in Durban (which has three seasons under its belt) and another set in Gqeberha recently introduced.
“First announced in September 2022, RHONairobi will follow five influential and successful women as they explore their lavish lifestyles, relationships and careers in Nairobi, Kenya,” Showmax explained in a statement.

RHONairobi joining the library of other successful African adaptations such as Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban and Lagos, it is among the 10 most watched shows of 2022 on Showmax in Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa.
She will join RHOAbuja, which premieres on Showmax on February 17, 2023.
Meet the ‘Original Housewives of Nairobi’
Susan Kaittany is a serial entrepreneur and owner of Posh Palace Hair Studio and Spa and Polished, a luxury fragrance and skincare boutique. The mother of two left her legal profession to pursue modeling and travel before venturing into lifestyle and beauty entrepreneurship.
Vera Sidika is a media personality and entrepreneur. Married to singer Brown Mauzo, she is one of the most talked about celebrities in Kenya and alongside her entrepreneurial ventures in the Spa and Herbal Tea industry, Sidika has more recently developed her talents in music. They have one daughter, with another child on the way.

Sonal Maherali is a luxury influencer, fashion collector and entrepreneur. She created a niche through luxury vlogging in 2010 and the mother of four went on to found Simba Maharani, a luxury clothing and footwear brand. Maherali is also an advocate for mental health awareness.
Minne Kariuki is an actress and entrepreneur, she is also married to former Jaguar manager and businessman Charles Muigai with whom she has two daughters. The youngest of five RHONairobi housewife, Kariuki is sassy, bold and unapologetic about who she is. Currently, he is also acting in the drama series Showmax Original Single Amount.
Lisa Christoffersen is an interior designer, author, business owner, rally driver and luxury safari curator. Christoffersen is the founder of Lioness Rally, Kenya’s first women’s rally team, and Lifestyle Nairobi, an artisanal space in Nairobi’s diplomatic center in Gigiri, which features art galleries, restaurants, spas, organic shops and fashion houses.
