Changemakers: 100 Nigerians Leading Change profiles exceptional Nigerians who think out of the box to provide solutions to Nigeria’s plethora of problems.
According to the Co-editors, Kammonke Abam and Tammie Edet kammonke, this change is a young Nigerian who wants to change the world, and some of them are kneeling to do exactly that in various fields of endeavor.
“He was listed in the compendium in recognition of his distinctive endowment and contribution to the emergence of a new Nigeria,” he said.
The statement said all those listed in the compendium are creative, risk-taking and adventurous men and women who are not satisfied with the status quo in Nigeria and have taken action to make things better.
The audience, according to the statement, includes trail-blazing scientists, great entertainers and artists, breakthrough engineers, media practitioners, thought leaders, pathfinders, innovators and creative entrepreneurs.
The statement noted that, “through the creative actions of these men and women, they are contributing to the emergence of a new Nigeria where there is justice, security, peace and equal opportunities.”
He added: “They use their skills, endowments and connections, to make a difference. Some have brought global pride and recognition to Nigeria because of their individual efforts.
The co-editors explained that the stories of the audience captured in the compendium provide lessons for life and inspiration for others to make a difference from a small angle.
He said that, “this edition is very important because 2023 is a year that is at a political milestone and one of the young people is taking Nigerian politics and shaping the direction of elections in the country.”
In its second year, last year’s compendium profiled notable Changemakers such as labor activist, John Odah; MacArthur Foundation Director, Nigeria Office, Kole Shettima; Arise TV presenter, Dr. Reuben Abati; and TV Channels presenter, Seun Okinbaloye, among others.
Over the years, Profiles & Biographies has profiled some of the most outstanding Nigerians from around the world who have made an impact and contributed to the development of society.
The compendium will be out in May this year.
