Meghan King it’s been a rough day on wednesday.
As she and her ex-husband, Jim Edmondscontinue to struggle to co-parent their three children, daughter Aspen, 5, and twins Hart and Hayes, 4, The Real Housewives of Orange County star took to her Instagram story, where she shared a video of herself crying over worsening problems with one another.
“No one talks about coercive control and the effects after the divorce,” Meghan began in the February 15 clip.
According to Psychology Today, coercive control is “a strategic form of persistent psychological and emotional abuse based on control, manipulation, and oppression,” and is often associated with “narcissistic abuse.”
“People say, ‘It will get better with time. It will get better with time.’ It’s been three years. When? What time? What time do I have to wait?” he continued. “The lawyers told me. My parenting coordinator, everyone told me.
“Not better. Worse,” added Meghan.
Before Meghan’s video, Jim appeared on his own Instagram Story, where he shared a message he sent more than an hour earlier.
“That’s all the messages I sent. They haven’t read the one I sent yesterday asking about the next date. It’s me [because] the little bird told me that he was out of town during his detention days and he didn’t give me the kids,” Meghan said in the post while a red circle highlighted the fact that one of the emails “was never seen”.
Meanwhile, in an additional message, Jim, who married his wife Courtney O’Connor in September 2020, it seems to suggest that the message has not been viewed due to “dinner time” on Valentine’s Day.
In another post, Meghan told her fans and followers that she has been wearing the Cartier bracelet that Jim gave her years ago because she likes it and wants to reclaim her power.
“Jim gave me this [Cartier] Love bracelet and I have not worn it [three] year [because] of symbolism … But I like it, “he explained. “I put it back before [Gaia Haven Experience] step back and seize my power with self-love.”
Last week, Jim called out Meghan for allegedly lying to her children when she suffered what her rep told Page Six was “narcissistic regression”.
“It’s sad that your ex tells your kids you don’t want to see them when you’re busy… Then won’t let you see them when they’re out of town,” read a message from “unknown.”
Later, in a statement to Page Six, the rep added, “Jim thinks it’s really sad that the kids were left with a babysitter instead of their dad, who changed his Super Bowl plans to be with them. I hope Meghan is happy with the narcissism retreat.”
Meghan and Jim are shown together in Real Housewives of Orange County seasons 10 to 12.
