Drew Sidora and Ralph Pittman Jr.‘s marriage officially came to an end.
Ahead of the upcoming 15th season of Real Housewives of Atlantaand just a month after Drew admitted to feeling like he and Ralph were always “going to get a divorce,” Ralph has filed for the dissolution of their marriage of nearly nine years.
In court documents obtained by PEOPLE on March 1, which Ralph filed on Monday, February 27, it was revealed that he and Drew, 37, split on Thursday, February 23, and are not getting back together.
“There is no chance or hope for reconciliation,” the paper said.
Ralph also released a statement to PEOPLE about the dissolution of his marriage.
“Love is a beautiful thing,” said Ralph, 37. “Unfortunately, we have made a difficult decision to move on to the next chapter, independent of each other. Drew and I have decided to file for divorce. We have three amazing little children, and their mindset and growth are the most important. When We are going through this difficult time, I ask that you respect our privacy.
Drew and Ralph married in August 2014 and have two children, including son Machai, who was welcomed in June 2015, and daughter Aniya, who was welcomed in February 2018 (Drew also has an 11-year-old son, Josiah, aka “Jojo,” from the relationship past, which Ralph considered adopted).
As RHO fans will remember, the tension between Drew and Ralph has been detailed throughout the picture, especially after Drew discovered a suspicious text message between a man and a female assistant. In fact, after the text scandal, Drew admitted he almost filed for divorce himself. However, after returning home from a family member’s house, they decided to “regroup”.
“It’s a journey we take every day to be honest,” he told the Weekly last week. “We have made a decision to remain faithful. We are not willing to give up that is easy, and we push to do things, and it is not always good. It is not always easy and you only have the front row for it.
A month later, when he appeared in the episode of Watch What Happens LiveDrew confirmed that he and Ralph were in therapy.
“We are on good terms. Dr. Ken is doing well. Counseling is good for married people,” he explained.
As for why she believes that Ralph has ever lied to her, said Drew in another episode WWHL he couldn’t believe that he was unfaithful.
“In my heart, I feel like he’s doing things that are questionable. But I feel that deep down he is committed. I really am,” he shared. “People know who he is now. I need you all to keep your eyes on me. I think it’s okay now because of Instagram, Twitter… He can’t walk around too much.
Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 15 wrapped production at the end of January and is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime in the coming months.
