Residents around Yendi-Zabzugu-Tatale use rickshaws through bad roads
Commuters traveling through Yendi-Zabzugu-Tatale in the Northern Region lamented the poor condition of the road.
Drivers and passengers complain that the bad roads increase their travel time and often damage their vehicles, so they have to use the rickshaws that are popular in the area called “yellow yellow”.
Road users have to face potholes noise and thick clouds of dust whenever they use the stretch.
Some road users Citi News said said it is always considered a miracle to use about and come alive.
A driver stranded on the road said “the road is very bad, it is affecting us and this is our third day here because the crankshaft of the car is broken.”
“Every time you pass this road, you just keep praying that Allah SWT will bring you and the passengers to your destination safely. We are traveling here to Accra and this is how you start your journey,” said the driver.
“This is the main road that supplies food, especially yams and maize to the south of the country, and the cars that come to Ghana from Togo also use this road, but look at the bad roads after many years of choosing, the best we can do. it is to stop voting because we have not benefited from voting this year,” one passenger was angry.
Passengers also asked the government to pay road contractors to speed up construction on the road.
