Why do millions of American voters not know that Trump’s statements reflect the ideology of autocracy led by dictators? Labeling democrats as socialists is a deflection tactic that Trump and Republicans are using as they try to destroy the basic components of democracy. The purpose of MAGA’s assertion of false equality that labels democratic parties as socialist parties is to hide the fact that democrats support social programs that help the poor, the disabled, and socially marginalized groups. Democrats support capitalism, free and fair elections, and the Constitution. MAGA wants to change the Constitution to support the rights of “one man” and the power of “one leader”.
