The Company Secretary of Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC, Mrs. B. Ama Amoah, has officially retired from active service.

His retirement will take effect on December 31, 2022, after he served more than 16 years with the Bank.

He has a career spanning more than 40 years of hard work, tenacity, professionalism and integrity.

Ms. Amoah, a woman of character, has worked with various Managing Directors at Republic Bank (and former HFC Bank) in the achievement of many laurels in Corporate Governance, Legal & Regulatory Compliance, Mortgage and Banking space, due to her significant exposure and expertise in these fields .

Mrs. B. Ama Amoah, before becoming the Company Secretary, headed the Mortgage and then the Legal Department of HFC Bank.

In his capacity as General Manager at the Bank, he was at various times responsible for the Corporate Secretariat with the supervision of the Legal & Regulatory Compliance Department, Administration & Premises Department, Compliance Department, Human Resources Department, Marketing & Communications Department. and its subsidiary, HFC Realty Ltd. Co.

Ms. Amoah previously worked as a Regeneration Lawyer with the Legal Division of the London Borough of Hackney, London, UK where she was instrumental in several major economic regeneration projects providing legal representation and advice on a broad spectrum of property-related matters.

Mrs. Ama Amoah is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and holds an LLB with honors from the University of Ghana, Legon; BL from the Ghana School of Law, called Barrister Ghana as a lawyer and advocate of the Supreme Court of Ghana in 1983; and obtained an MBA from Aston Business School, Aston University, Birmingham, UK.

Mr. Charles William Zwennes, Chairman of the Board of Republic Bank PLC (Ghana), commended Mrs. B. Ama Amoah on behalf of the Board of Directors for her invaluable role as the Bank’s Corporate Secretary, describing her as a strong woman with substance. flawless integrity.

He then announced Mrs. Amoah’s successor as Mrs. Akua Oduraa Botchway, who takes up the important role from January 1, 2023.
