The House Judiciary Committee’s Twitter account drew ridicule for a post defending former President Donald Trump ahead of his expected indictment for paying porn star Stormy Daniels.
The committee, which registered Rep. Ranking member Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) on Tuesday quoted Jordan himself as saying: “We don’t think President Trump broke the law at all.”
It posted three fire emojis below.
Some critics laughed at the idea of an apparently open account by Trump-devotee Jordan approving his own quote.
Others rewrote the message suggesting that they could stop after three words, namely, “We don’t think so.”
Many were surprised to use the burning emoji.
