There is some major drama happening off-camera between the two members of the The Real Housewives of Potomac cast!
For those who don’t know, Candiace Dillard Bassett had a rocky relationship with both Michael Darby and his estranged wife, Ashley Darby, over the years – and have never been arrested again when asked to go with them! But Candiace went too far during Season 7 Well done series, according to Michael! And now they’re suing him for defamation over allegations he made on the show!

The moment in question dropped during the November 2022 episode of RHOP when the 36-year-old reality star got into a heated argument (again) with Ashley, this time about her husband, Chris Bassett, allegedly very flirty with other castmates and his 34-year-old friend. When Ashley claims that Chris swiped on other people’s DMs, Candiace decides to drop a shocking accusation about Michael in response. He said:
“Ashley, your husband likes to leave you and go to someone named [censored]his house and suck d**k.”
When Candiace once revealed the identity of the other man, he went to claim that Michael also paid for sex. The former pageant queen explained in her confession that she “wasn’t supposed to be talking about this guy, but she said Michael Darby was her client.” Ch-ch-check out the jaw-dropping argument (below):

Now, Michael is firing back at the accusations — not on reality TV, in real court! According to the legal document taken by TMZ there, the 77-year-old filed a defamation lawsuit against Candiace over the claims she made about him giving oral sex to him.
Michael claimed he sent a cease and desist earlier this year over her comments. However, Candiace has not taken back statements from the event since then – leaving people to pursue legal action. And now they don’t bother! The outlet reported that he is seeking $2 million in damages. shit! We will not be surprised if some of the Housewife stop and think before dropping another claim on the show, depending on what happens with this court case…
