Vanderpump Rules star Rachel Lewis has taken a lot of heat for her future 10 hookups with Tom Schwartz. But according to the 28-year-old model, they dated a lot in the months after they split in December 2021. James Kennedy31.
While Tom, 40, admitted that his rendezvous was “a bit respectful” of his ex-husband. Katie Maloney36, and James said Raquel “definitely spread her wings,” Raquel confirmed that she is not looking to settle down – and noted that she is enjoying the single life.
“I’ve been dating. I’ve had some, like, flings and casual stuff and I’m not really looking for anything serious [right now],” He told Us Weekly on February 7. “I kind of like being single and doing my own thing. I feel like I’m dating you. I feel like I’m just recently figuring out who I am as a person and what I like and don’t like. So I don’t think I’m ready to settle down any time soon.
However, Raquel wants to continue having fun after taking the “sl-t makeout” title from Tom.
“Schwartz and I just made out, so, I’m literally like makeout sl-t,” Raquel admitted. “[We only] made out several times. It’s fun, I like it. I think he did too.
While Raquel and Tom may be enjoying their time together, it’s not good news for Katie, who considers herself a “fan girl”.
“We’re not in the best place,” Raquel said of herself and Katie. “I saw him on Sunday and I thought I’d be like a bigger person and at least break the ice and go over there and say hello. And it was like ‘dead lightning’ right in my soul. So I was like, ‘OK, I feel like I just have to kind of step back and give them some space.’ Obviously, I really hurt him and that was not my intention at all.”
“I just navigated one life and thought that Schwartz could be a cool person to pursue something with. So tight, but that’s how it is,” he said.
In another interview with Page Six last week Pump Rules The premiere party, after confirming that she and Tom are “really good friends,” Raquel suggested that their romance be cut short by Katie.
“As far as romance goes, it’s more of a decision not to pursue it. I think Katie has a big reason why. But I respect her decision, and I’ve got a really good friendship,” she said.
Then, after James said that Raquel “must spread his wings and fly away” after their breakup, and hinted that her hookup with Tom is what led to the trailer-teasing drink toss, Tom confirmed that he does not regret meeting Raquel.
“It was just a kiss. I have no regrets,” he explained. “Now, if we want to get into some complexity, maybe the timing is a little rude. At the moment, I’m so caught up in my own little world. Something is in the air. … I’m sorry because it hurt some people I care about a lot, like James and Katie – not so much James, but Katie.
When asked for an update on her and Tom’s relationship, Katie said they were “doing great”.
“It’s just a process of finding the basis of a healthy friendship for us and not crossing boundaries,” he said. “We’re still in each other’s lives, and we want to be. He’s still like family to me, and I still love that man.”
And during her own interview with Us Weekly, Katie said that when it comes to Raquel, she remains “very distant.”
“Some things are unexpected, and our friendship may be one of them,” he added.
