Sandoval feigned surprise Charlie and Raquel crashed the night of the men and James going to have a conniption that evening has been taken for sh * t owned by Raquel. In particular, James was concerned Ally’s his reaction when he heard the addition to the guest list. He ran and Sandoval and Brock followed him.
In the meantime, Raquel squeezed himself riiiiight next to her Schwartz. Charli fills the group in on what happened to bring her back to LA and Raquel innocently explains that she’s “young and fun and single”. Raquel is annoyed that the girls are just chasing the guy they like (you can say that again) and playing like *mean* girls leads them home. He further states that Katie‘s mother is also in Vegas and slips in that she wants to make out with Schwartz in front of him (you know, Schwartz’s Ex-mother-in-law. In what world would that be an appropriate conversation?!).
When Raquel talks about girls saying they can’t be trusted with men, Sandoval grins in a way that makes my skin crawl. But what was really weird was when Schwartz called it hot while Raquel stood up Lala. When did Raquel get all this power in the group?! Even James has caught this…He asks why she is always around and ponders if Raquel appeared just to get up from him. Little did he know, his arrival had nothing to do with him…the wrong person, of course.
In the meantime, through Havasu, Katie, Lala, and Christina recap the night they have. Lala manages to snag a guy from a bar and when he texts her about coming over, Katie tries to be her sex coach. Kristina knew that Lala was nervous, considering that Lala had not been with anyone since she was pregnant with her child. Lala let us know that this kind of thing is not good with her ex, but she has hope to score and orgasm with this new person.
The next day, Katie hears about Lala’s sex-capades. She overshares how hot it is and how she now has her groove back. All in all, despite the initial drama, the trip was good. It definitely shows Katie Raquel’s true colors, since Katie now realizes “beyond a shadow of a doubt” that Raquel really sucks.
James and Ally go out for a tarot card reading (you know, your typical date). We learn that Ally has big dreams of becoming a full-time tarot card reader in the future and so James does this for her. James and Ally seem to be “twin flames” and the card says they need to get away from their past relationship. According to James, “Raquel ruined everyone’s relationship” (how creepy to hear this knowing what we know now!). He asks everyone to start pointing at Raquel once because she’s not what they think she is.
LVP visit Tom and Tom and he wants to talk about business. She learned that men don’t want to be bought and even though Greg, co-owner, has been striving for perfection before opening, they want to stay with people for business purposes. The opening date keeps getting pushed back and LVP is getting worried. He forces the door of the restaurant open, otherwise he will lose everything… like money… relationships… oh wait…
Scheana’s (2n.d) wedding is only two weeks away and he is trying not to stress. When she got a call from one of the bridesmaids, she realized that all the rooms at the resort were sold out, so she couldn’t stay at the resort. Big problem- However, Scheana has a solution! Although he hadn’t spoken to Katie yet, he knew that Katie had no plans to attend Scheana’s wedding, but she (weirdly) decided to stay at the resort. Is Katie good enough to give up the room?
Ariana explained to Katie that after her dog, Charlotte, died, she was ready to have fun again and that she was hosting a pool party. Katie is down, even though her favorite is about to come. The ladies switched gears and started talking about the sandwich shop that they are focusing on opening. Now that he knows what not to do after seeing Toms flounder, he has brought in a business consultant. Ariana and Katie share their background with the consultant and try to set up shop. They discussed the location they had recently inspected and agreed that it was perfect for their venture.
While at SUR, Raquel grabs James and talks to him about guys’ night. James learns about Ariana’s upcoming pool party from Raquel and Raquel lets James know he’s invited, according to Sandoval (weird). James didn’t like this group as much as they pushed him and chose Raquel.
Ariana and Katie head to TomTom and grab LVP. Katie fills LVP in the letter of intent for the sandwich shop and LVP gets excited about their future.
While at TomTom, Katie learns about Scheana’s wedding hotel through Ariana. Katie believed it wasn’t her problem, but it would be better if Katie stayed at the resort and not attend the wedding, especially if she knew there were unlucky bridesmaids.
It’s the day of Ariana and Tom’s pool party and nothing good can come of bringing this whole group together under one roof. We’ve got Scheana going and about how one of her bridesmaids is room-less and Lala is still not over Raquel’s comments about her mistress. Scheana claims to have Lala back when it comes to this topic as she has also been called a homewrecking whore (hey Brandi Glanville!).
The party continues and Raquel keeps making fake runway videos and when she does, Lala calls her a “damn idiot.” In the meantime, Raquel tells Scheana that she thinks Lala is sad and Raquel points out that she’s not a weak noble. Someone’s got some confidence, right?
Ariana can’t seem to wrap her mind around Raquel being mean on the trip, but believes that Katie, Kristina, and Lala may have been playing mean girl games with her. Sandoval broke into the conversation and yelled at Katie, “If someone doesn’t have the right perspective, they’re wrong.” Sandoval sticking up for Raquel speaks volumes…
Raquel tries to explain that her problem with Lala is that Lala slept with James while they were together. Sandoval reminds Lala that though they it might be over, Raquel just learned about it. Raquel calls Lala a sad bully and she doesn’t want to be a “chihuahua follower” (whatever that means).
The problem is, Raquel isn’t wrong with the point she’s trying to make, she’s just outnumbered and doing it the wrong way. Raquel claims that she has “leveled up” during the girls’ trip and is proud of the new version of herself standing up to Lala, the bimbo mistress.
Later, Scheana confronts Katie about the resort issue and Katie is impossible. Scheana is confused as to why Katie even wants to go to Mexico and tells Katie that she doesn’t want energy at her wedding. Scheana went as far as offering to Venmo Katie $1,000 for the room, but Katie declined.
Scheana runs to report back to Schwartz, who suggests that he tempts Katie with marriage reconciliation at another resort just to get the room back for Scheana. PERMANENT. Ariana jokingly asked Katie, “What’s your price?”, but Katie refused to back down, even though there was an easy solution to this problem. Schwartz suggests losing Katie to being a bigger person and Katie continuing to be an “emotional right,” according to Schwartz. He continues to take other people’s sides and frustrates Katie for a long time. Schwartz chases Katie as she leaves the party, but Katie claims all she wants is an apology from Scheana for interfering (translation: she still holds Scheana responsible for planting the seed about Schwartz in Raquel’s head).
The episode ends as if Katie and Schwartz are still married (she begs him to stay, she ignores him) and then we’re treated to the epic mid-season trailer. Hold on to your hats…this is going to be another one.
