MANILA, Philippines – Regine Arocha proved her mettle in the first start of the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Conference as she helped depleted Choco Mucho end a two-game skid.

With Des Cheng sitting out with stomach flu, Arocha surged to 13 points, scoring three in the fifth set, before Kat Tolentino came to the rescue, making the final touch to complete the 23-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-27, 15-11 victory. through the Army was at the FilOil EcoOil Center in San Juan City.

Two-time NCAA Finals MVP Arellano, who only knew he would be a starter before the game, wanted to make the most of a rare opportunity for the Flying Titans.

“Because this is the first time I’m playing again with the six of us, I’m like I’m very hungry, very hungry. I play like every ball I want to kill. That’s how I am Maybe that’s why I did the same thing,” Arocha said after his first start since the 2021 PVL bubble.

The do-it-all announcer says he is always ready to deliver for Choco Mucho whenever coach Dante Alinsunurin calls the number.

“Coach Dante always tells us to stay ready because the time will come. Whenever the first six need help, we, the bench players will be ready,” said Arocha.

Arocha hopes to continue with Alinsunurin’s new system as they continue their campaign against Cignal HD Spikers on Thursday next week at the Philsports Arena.

“We feel that if we follow coach Dante’s system, it will be easier to do what the coach wants. We will continue to work hard,” said Arocha.
