MANILA, Philippines—F2 Logistics solidified its bid for the semifinals after defeating Choco Mucho in four sets in the All-Filipino Premier Volleyball League Conference, 25-23, 25-19, 13-25, 25-22, at the Philsports Arena on Tuesday.
Coach Regine Diego expressed her joy after the Cargo Movers improved their record to 5-2 despite a tough match against the Flying Titans, who dropped to a dangerous 2-3 record.
“We’re happy even though it’s a game of the heart, we’re still winning. As long as we win, we’re happy but we can’t relax, especially now because it’s not over. I always tell them to stop when they’re done, not when they’re tired,” said Diego speak Filipino.
“At least everything is ready, all the time.”
Choco Mucho and F2 Logistics were caught in an 18-all stalemate in the fourth set before Cargo Movers went on a 6-3 exchange supported by Kim Kianna Dy and Elaine Kasilag to reach match point, 24-21.
Maddie Madayag breathed some life into the Flying Titans’ bid to pull them at 24-22 but Dy, who finished with a game-high 23 points, took matters into his own hands and became the game-winner.

The third set, however, fell short for F2 Logistics after losing one of their key players in Myla Pablo to cramp.
Choco Mucho doubled up on defense to take a 17-10 lead over the Cargo Movers. From then on, F2 Logistics only scored three points until the set ended with Kat Tolentino won the set, 25-13.
“Unfortunately, Ate My [Pablo] so cramped but we just used it as motivation and we said this game will be for him,” said Dy.
Before Pablo exited the rest of the game, he had 15 points. Aby Maraño also scored 12 in the F2 victory.
Bea De Leon serves as Choco Mucho’s silver lining, finished with 17 markers. Tolentino scored 16 in the loss while Madayag also contributed 12 in the loss.
As of now, only Creamline is confident of making it to the semifinals after defeating PLDT earlier in the day to earn a 6-1 record. F2 Logistics’ victory also eliminated Cignal and Akari from playoff contention.
