Punters give Johnson a 7% chance of being CON general election leader – politicalbetting.com

One of the consistent stories since Boris Johnson stepped down as Conservative leader last year is that he wants to return. In particular, he wanted to get back at Sunak, who was widely blamed for being forced out.

This will not go away and if Sunak looks vulnerable, the former PM can attack.

Johnson’s position on this has been helped by Labour’s continued lead in national opinion polls. The supporters will always be ready to show that in the week or so before he was forced out one opinion poll had LAB lead down to only 5%.

It will happen or from a betting perspective there is more than a 7% chance that it will? I think that at this price it might just be worth a punt.
