If you keep up with the wild stories you’ve heard so far, from the Duke of Sussex admitting to cocaine use and how he lost his virginity behind a crowded pub to how he talked to the “ghost” of his late mother. A big part of the book, though, is family tension. Harry accused his father, King Charles‘, the team “planted” a false story to raise the king’s reputation. He also told the story of how he and his brother Prince William allegedly had a physical altercation in which Harry ended up on the ground with an injury to his back! The memoir will come amid an already strained royal family. According to royal experts Katie Nicholl for Page SixWilliam FED UP with Harry’s accusations:

The author said the royal family “provides for the raw, the explosive” but had no idea the 38-year-old would include such things in his book:
“He was surprised at the level of detail and how far Harry was in all of this. The idea that he wanted his father and sister back seemed out of step with his actions and what he said. To paint a poor picture of the royal family and the side of him that was uncomfortable with his brother and sister. his uncaring father … It just doesn’t seem like the act of a man trying to reconcile with his estranged family. It felt like a line that was crossed.”
And how Princess Catherine feel all this? According to insiders for US Weekly, she was just as surprised as her husband. Duke and Duchess of Wales “very upset about Harry’s revelation”:
“It hit me hard. Now both sides are talking to each other.”
The source said that William and Catherine wanted Harry to “deal with the matter behind closed doors” and not be “public and cutting”. He also said that no healing was happening behind the scenes because Harry could no longer be trusted:
“I would say that they won’t have any complicated or emotional discussions behind the scenes, because… Netflix or in Spotify or in the book or against King Gayle or for Anderson Cooper. I don’t think that’s how you make peace in any family, but being in the public eye, being in the public eye, I don’t think there’s a chance.
