As you know, the Duke of Sussex will tell you everything spare as it hits the shelves on Tuesday, and before the release, some serious royal tea will be spilled! With a claim quote Prince William physically attack him for how King Charles told him there was not ‘enough money’ for Meghan Markle — it’s been a wild ride already! And we’ve still got 5 more days until the book arrives!
In the quote obtained by US Weekly it doesn’t look like this drama is stopping anytime soon. The 38-year-old wrote in his book how a heated argument between his sister and father happened in 2019, and it all started when the Duke of Cambridge called him “tired” and said that he “talked too fast”.

The call took a while before Harry could figure out what the problem was. According to the memoir, one of the “gung-ho” members of King Charles’ communications team “planned and launched a new campaign to get good press” for the king and Queen Camilla. Why does this bother William so much? Apparently the team’s bright idea includes two princes taking heat! Well, the plan to get “good press” means that Harry and William have to get bad press, the campaign is “at the expense” of the brothers!
During the phone call, Harry remembers his “attacking” brother saying angrily:
“He did this to me last time.”
Wow.
Allegedly, the bad press William received was also detrimental Princess Catherine and his children. Before hanging up, Harry said William added that he was “not going to take it back”. Harry is well aware of his sister’s anger, stating in his book, the same thing the royal family did to him (which he and Meghan discuss at length in his book. Netflix series), so he decided to go with his brother to see his father – he agreed to tag it as “moral support”. However, tempers ran high, and King Charles did not like the accusations:
“Pa is tired right away. He starts yelling that Willy is paranoid. We are both the same. Just because we got bad press, and they turned out good, doesn’t mean their staff is behind them.
This alleged gaslighting is absurd, however, because Harry argues that the two princes have “proof” that the team of King Charles is behind this all together!
Although he was eventually dumped by his father, the Duke of Sussex was still proud of William for trusting him with such a sensitive matter. But certainly not to be proud. Harry writes that his brother has since taken out his frustrations on him, this is one of the many physical and verbal altercations between him and William throughout the book:
“In the blink of an eye he transferred all his anger to me. He continued and I lost the thread. I did not understand and I stopped trying. I was silent, waiting for him to stop.”
