In contrast, he continues to ignore the criminal investigation into Trump’s theft of hundreds of documents from the White House, which he withheld from the FBI for more than a year, and the declaration “they are his.” After finding the document, Biden’s lawyer called the Archives, willingly returned it, and cooperated not to hinder the investigation. The situation could not be more different when comparing the behavior and attitude of Trump and Biden on the issue. The only similarity is that documents from both administrations were removed from the White House and ended up in unsecured locations. Both scenarios are unacceptable.Throughout his administration’s attack on democracy, Trump has tried to fight the Justice Department, federal courts, state legislatures, and the Supreme Court. In his address to the American people, Barr did not consider the charges to be criminal, but the DOJ adheres to a policy that prohibits the indictment of a sitting president.
