
ECG management has assured customers to fix this challenge and also stated that they are working to expand prepaid vending stations in the Krobo enclave to improve accessibility.
Mr. Akini said, “These stations will be expanded to reduce the existing burden and create more access for citizens”
The introduction of prepaid meters by the Electricity Company of Ghana ECG into the municipalities of Lower Manya and Yilo Krobo faced resistance but after several months the progress of community engagement has continued.
Some residents raised concerns about the problem of poor network in the purchase power of the meter, and the vending station is not enough.
Emmanuel Tetteh Akini, General Manager of ECG Tema Region urged residents to remain calm, adding that ECG has competent engineers to resolve the issue.
As part of the efforts to effectively maintain the results made and to strengthen the good working relationship between ECG and the good people of Yilo and Manya Krobo, ECG Krobo District organized fun games between various stakeholders in the Krobo enclave.
