Polls: Vote candidates with experience – Lagos Dep. Gov | The Guardian Nigeria News

Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, said citizens should not allow inexperienced people to manage the affairs of the state by electing the right candidates.

Hamzat stated this in an interactive session with the University of Lagos Alumni Association, Lagos state chapter, and Alumni of other tertiary institutions in the state held at Igbobi college in Yaba.

The deputy governor noted that the re-election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate to power in the March 18 governorship election, will ensure a better state and country.

He said the APC government in Lagos state since 1999, has done a lot to improve the living standards of the people.

According to him, the government has improved the delivery of health, and safety, and ensured that the roads are free from dirt, as well as improving the road network among others.

The deputy governor, therefore, urged the people to vote and also ensure the return of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu as the governor of Lagos state.

“A vote for Sanwo-Olu in the gubernatorial election on Friday is a vote for Lagos more.

“The administration of Sanwo-olu for the past four years has done well in all sectors of the economy and another four years in office will help the administration develop Lagos further.

“I guarantee greater development if re-elected,” he said.

Hamzat also advised citizens to abide by the law while performing their civic responsibilities at the polls.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the interactive session was attended by professionals from every sector including entrepreneurs, education, business, medicine and entertainment among others.
