Yoruba actress, Yetunde Akilapa has been jailed for theft seven times.
Ms Akilapa entered the movie industry in 2013 and starred in the Yoruba movie, “Ileri-Oluwa”, which took her into the limelight.
He has featured in other Yoruba movies. The actress was earlier reportedly in the news for stealing and breaking into people’s homes years ago and was once on the police’s wanted list.
The actress, who is known for breaking into homes and shops to steal, was arrested Thursday after the homeowner caught her in the act.
Twitter user, @LotsofKory said he broke into the house and found a woman inside, stealing valuables.
“This is how I entered my house today, and I found a woman in my house. She had packed my wig and all my gold. I (she) was going to start checking my bag when I entered.
“Alhamdulillah my neighbor came behind me; I am sure he will attack me.”
He also said that a pair of her gold earrings had been taken to the police station.

Earlier, in February 2013, it was reported that the police arrested the actress in Alade, Somolu area of Lagos, on charges of robbery.
He was sent to Kirikiri correctional facility. In November 2013, he regained his freedom.
Serial offender
This is not the first time Ms. Akilapa has been arrested for theft.
In 2018, he was arrested for trying to gain unauthorized access to a house in Magodo Shangisha, Lagos.

In June 2018, he was arraigned before an Ikeja Chief Magistrate’s Court and charged with trespassing and stealing valuables worth N7 million from his house.
The 37-year-old actress was tried on three counts bordering on burglary and theft, to which she pleaded not guilty.

Police Prosecutor Benson Emuerhi told the court that the accused committed the offense on June 27 at No. 14/16, Mutairu St., Shangisha, Ketu, Lagos suburb, 2.10am
According to him, the accused was arrested when he tried to enter the apartment of the complainant, Adeboye Lamidi.
Mr Lamidi said he was in the sitting room when he saw someone trying to open the apartment door with a key from outside.
Ms Akilapa used a different key to unlock the door of the complainant’s house but was caught in the act, he said.
“I peeked through the hole in the door, and I saw the defendant trying to open my door with the key.”
The prosecutor also stated that the defendant, on November 16, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. WIB, entered Oyinlola Tuga’s house by unlocking the door with the master key.
Tuga, who lives at No. 39A, Ayodele Okeowo St., Gbagada Soluyi in Lagos, reported that the accused stole jewellery, bags and other valuables worth N7 million.
“Tuga stated that after raising the alarm that his house was broken into, his neighbor told him that he saw the accused parking a car with registration number. MUS 689 CZ in front of the complainant’s house.
“He challenged him and found the stolen goods and a hundred keys.
“The accused was arrested and handed over to the police at Ifako police station,” he said.
More violations
The actress was in the news in February 2013 when it was reported that she was arrested for robbery by the police in Alade, Somolu area of Lagos.
He was sent to Kirikiri Prison, and after a few months, he regained his freedom in November 2013.
On January 12, 2014, he was again caught trying to steal with a master key hidden in his brassiere at a house in Magodo Phase 2.
The offense contravened Sections 287, 307 and 308 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).
Section 287 prescribes three years’ imprisonment for theft, while Section 307 prescribes seven years’ imprisonment for theft.
The Magistrate, Olufunke Sule-Amzat, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties.
Mrs Sule-Amzat said the guarantors should be well served with proof of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government.
