
Michael Cohen suspected former boss Donald Trump was “petrified” on the eve of the arraignment in New York City over his role in the 2016 hush payment of money to porn star Stormy Daniels.
“Donald’s diapers are going to fill those diapers, because this is not something that Donald can understand or compete with,” Cohen, who has worked with Trump as his personal attorney for more than a decade, told Ari Melber on Monday. MSNBC’s “The Beat.”
“He believes he can control the whole situation. It’s not a situation he can control, so he’s sick to his stomach,” she said. “I think now he’s beyond petrified.”
Cohen was jailed for campaign finance violations for facilitating a $130,000 payment to Daniels in exchange for keeping quiet about an alleged affair with Trump in 2006. Cohen has since become a key witness in the prosecution of the former president.
Trump arrived in New York from Florida on a private jet Monday. Trump’s team has indicated that he will go into the Manhattan district attorney’s office on Tuesday. He will be fingerprinted before entering the courtroom to enter his plea, which is expected to be not guilty.
