Peter Madrigal slammed Rachel Lewis as a “home wrecker” and Tom Sandoval as “narcissistic,” and clapped back at the so-called “starting pony” amid his brief dating history with Raquel, which allegedly occurred during her reported relationship with Tom. He also wondered if Raquel was using him as a “ploy”.
Vanderpump Rules fans exploded with reports that Tom and Raquel had sexual relations while still in a relationship Ariana Madixwho has been his girlfriend for nine years.
Talk to Behind the Velvet Rope With David Yontef podcast, Peter clapped back at Raquel’s alleged ‘pony starter’ diss.
“The first pony spoke. Now I don’t care,” said Peter. “Who are you to call me the first pony? … Well, you’re the one who destroys the house.”
When asked if he saw any signs of Raquel and Sandoval’s romance, Peter replied, “I deny it. I saw some things [with him and Raquel] and I was all like, ‘Yeah but Sandoval is committed to Ariana. He would never do that’ … like you see something and you’re like – I won’t go into the details of what I saw – but it’s like, [I thought] he would never do that… It was a bit of a surprise.”
Peter explains that he will see Tom and Raquel “at each other without Ariana”.
He also wondered if he was used when he was dating Raquel. “Am I just being used as a ploy or something like – what do you call it? – a distraction.”
The star added, “I think in the back of my mind, something else happened, which has now been confirmed … I don’t know. But something has happened.”
He finally said, “I think so [Raquel] he’s a nice guy, but then again, I hardly know him… We went on a couple of dates and I don’t really know him.
Regarding the sexual video allegedly sent by Raquel to Tom, Peter said, “I know that Ariana is broken right now, you know, because it’s a shock… I’m very disappointed with Sandoval. Because at least when you’re having problems in your relationship, the best thing to do is to dismiss it and move on.
What does Peter think of the rumours Scheana Shay punch Raquel after learning from the relationship?
“Now people are trying to say it didn’t happen, that Scheana didn’t hit Raquel, that Raquel had a black eye before. [Watch What Happens Live]. I saw it today. I was like, why did he have a black eye before Watch What Happens Live? That doesn’t make sense to me… All of a sudden he came out with a black eye. If so, then who hit him?”
Peter said it wouldn’t surprise him either way. “Ariana is my best friend, and they’ve been together, they’ve been BFFs for over ten years. I’m sure they’ve disagreed, but…she’s a girl,” he explained.
He also responded to rumors that Ariana caught Tom leaving Raquel’s room in the middle of the night while she was staying at his place – when Tom allegedly claimed she gave him water. “She came out of her room at four in the morning and Ariana grabbed her. What? She wasn’t feeling well, so I was going to give her water. You don’t think that’s fishy? I mean, like Ariana, if I was in Ariana’s shoes, I’d be like, wait, no , which is not true.
When asked about Tom’s first apology post, which didn’t mention Ariana, Peter said: “That should have been his first thought, of course she was … Ariana. Number one.”
They then talk about Tom and Raquel’s new “PR” move. “There are so many conflicting messages,” Peter said. “Because there are various PRs trying to clean up the situation as they say… [and people] try to [be] like, ‘Okay, how do we give this? Okay… let’s put this together. No, no. Now let’s put this out. Not.’ And when you get a lot of cooks in the kitchen, as they say, the food gets complicated.
Regarding whether Tom is a narcissist, Peter shared, “He’s a bit of a narcissist. I have a story… So a few years ago, I always helped him, he was always late for his bartending shift. And I always helped him prepare … because [he never] take responsibility [for] why is he late… Then this time I think he lost something from the bank [till] or all banks [till]. And I… [had to] pay for yourself. yes. I got a call from [someone]and they blamed me because I was the duty manager.”
Peter said he wouldn’t film with Raquel unless “she works” with him, and it’s a “professional” interaction. However, he doesn’t believe that Scheana’s alleged assault will get him fired. “I mean, Tom went out and crashed Jack [Taylor] … and nothing is confirmed.
The stars also discussed Stassi Schroederwedding invitation. “I sided with Jax and Brittany when … I know, for example, Stasi disinvited a bunch of people and used a letter that looks like it was written by a fifth grader. Then came to find out that I was also BCC’d … We are not friends. .. I don’t want to go anyway, but that’s just f**king insulting.”
He also did not like the way he did it: “You don’t have five minutes to call 20 people … or text, ‘Hey, are you going? Because it might be a little limited’ … But they wrote out this letter, put it’s on a postcard, then BCC’d everyone and literally said, bye-bye. I don’t know who’s still friends with someone like that.”
Peter finally suggests that Tom will repeat history.
“I think he and Ariana are really in love and it’s true… Time will tell [if Raquel and Tom are in love] I guess, but then again, even if they were together [for] nine years, he jumps to another girl nine years from now… Raquel, watch out because in nine years he will probably leave you for someone else. I think it’s funny.
Despite the scandal’s effect on Tom, Schwartz & Sandy’s restaurant, Peter claims the controversy has put Sur’s business “on another level.”
“Last night we had about a hundred when I got there. That’s 130 plus walk-ins,” he said. “I don’t even remember the last number, but it was a lot.”
