The production company and the network behind it Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip just released a statement after the alleged incident between the castmates Brandi Glanville and Caroline Manzo.
The statement, made jointly by Peacock and Shed Media, said the investigation was launched in Morocco in the middle of the filming of the fourth season.
“The safety and security of the cast and crew during filming is extremely important and we take all reports very seriously,” said a statement provided to PEOPLE. “In this situation, production immediately launched a comprehensive review and took appropriate action.”
The outlet previously reported a source claiming Brandi kissed Manzo multiple times at the party without his consent.
“It was unexpected,” the insider said. “And Caroline’s distress over the matter didn’t stop Brandi. Things escalated and physical boundaries were allegedly crossed that Caroline felt was serious and uncomfortable.
After this incident, the production decided to report to the higher up. Another source claims that they continued filming that evening and morning because Brandi apologized to Caroline via text message.
That evening, Brandi was asked to be removed from the trip. “Brandi’s behavior was inappropriate,” said a third source, “so she was asked to leave.”
In the evening, Caroline allegedly decided to leave the show. “They have to process this outside of the reality TV environment,” the first source said.
A second insider claims castmates and production support Caroline’s decision to leave.
