MANILA, Philippines – The PBA will summon import Jamaal Franklin for angering league officials following the Converge’s 106-103 loss to Phoenix in the PBA Governor’s Cup on Sunday.
Franklin approached the referee’s table to express his displeasure at a pair of three-pointers he felt should have been called fouls in the dying seconds of the game held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Coach Aldin Ayo and other FiberXers staff members had to separate Franklin from the referees and other league officials which included PBA commissioner Willie Marcial.

He was really uncomfortable when reporters asked him about things he didn’t call.
“What do you think about this?” said. “If you’re going to tell me what you think, then I’m going to lose it.”
Converge suffered a loss despite leading by 12 points in the third as Franklin failed to convert two rainbow shots.

One saw Franklin blocked by Phoenix’s Simon Camacho for a go-ahead triple, but the latter’s hand appeared to have hit Converge’s brace when the ball was released.
Another had Franklin go for three runs to tie it against Phoenix pair Du’Vaughn Maxwell who missed as time expired.
“We lost, they won,” he said. “If we win that game, I’m sure we’ll be second [in the standings]. Sorry.”
