Kody Brown barely talks to some of the older kids.
The Patriarch of Sister Wives has come out and confessed himself.
However, in a recent interview with blogger John Yates, Paedon Brown gave an example when his father exerciseindeed, reach some other relatives.
For a rather sneaky reason.
According to Paedon, Kody was really angry when his son wore a shirt that made fun of Kody and Robyn’s nanny.
The 18-year-old father is accused of sending angry text messages to his son and then ignoring Paedon for eight months.
“Then he called me, randomly, out of the blue and he talked to me,” Paedon told Yates this week.
“It was like an hour-long conversation and it was really good. And I was like, ‘Okay, I can get my dad back. This is great.'”
But there is a catch.
Paedon then explained that he told Christine’s mother about the conversation … only for Christine to tell her son that Kody had a selfish basis for reconnecting.
“Apparently he tried to convince … the higher ups at TLC and he tried to discuss with them trying to put in our contract that we are not allowed to say anything negative about him on our platform,” Paedon now said .
“And he fought with Mom about it because Mom said, ‘You can’t control our kids like that.’
“He’s trying to say, ‘Your kids can’t say anything about me.'”
It looks like Kody is trying to get his kids to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Needless.
Paedon said Kody wanted the gag order to be included in his children’s network contracts because he said insults about him publicly “damaged his image.”
“TLC was like, ‘I don’t think that’s what we should do,'” Paedon added.
“And my mom fought. My mom was like, ‘No, you’re not allowed to tell your kids what they can and can’t say about you. You’ve got to get your love back!'”
Paedon later found out that he wasn’t the only one of Kody and Christine’s kids to get a call from Kody at this time.
“And then it hit me: he called me for a very specific reason,” Paedon said.
“He called [my sisters] Aspyn and Mykelti and I’m Ysabel for the same reason. They don’t want us talking negatively about them online.
“He talked for an hour with three or four of his kids … after losing a battle with Mom about what he was allowed to say online. He just called us, and I know he didn’t call me because he wanted to talk to me.
“They called me because they didn’t want me to say anything negative.”
Unfortunately, Kody fails – and Paedon starts slamming his father for being such a sad person.
But, how does it feel to know that his father only called him and tried to bond with him because he had nefarious motives?
“He broke my heart. Again,” Pardon told Yates.
