“Today, I am very happy, as well as Asanteman, because of the revival of this business that once brought pride and joy to the people of Asanteman. We celebrate this opportunity and look forward to the economic benefits it will bring to us as a people”, he said.
The Asantehene, therefore, appealed to investors to take advantage of the calm nature of business in Kumasi and the Ashanti Region as a whole to open factories to boost business.

When we started brewing here, it was more than just a refreshing beer. It’s about making a connection to this city and its residents.
“As we continue to execute our strategy to grow and expand Star Beer nationwide through sophisticated consumer insights and marketing, we retraced our roots and decided not to let go. I am happy to say that, Star’s relationship with Asanteman has stood the test of time and is now stronger than ever. now when we restart the production, in the Home of Star, where it is”, he added.
On his part, the Head of Beer at Guinness Ghana, Roland Ofori also said: “Star Beer is part of the culture and tradition of the city. Apart from refreshing the people of Kumasi since the 1960s, Star Beer symbolizes the optimism of the everyday people of this region, and can be seen in millions of bubbles in the liquid. Star Beer is not just beer; it is part of Kumasi’s identity.”
For several years, Star Beer has been a popular choice among consumers in Kumasi, and is often associated with casual events, good times, celebrations and social events in the city.
