The KNUST Motorcycle Patrol was also launched as part of the Police Administration’s efforts to increase police visibility and response time to incidents on the university campus.
This is an initiative to ensure the visibility of the motorized police on our university campus. The University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani is the first to benefit from this initiative with KNUST the second.
Also present at the commissioning that took place after the 56th Session of the university was the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, Deputy Minister of Education, Rev. John Ntim Fourjour, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Rita. Akosua Dickinson, Director General/NPD, COP/Paul Manly Awini, DG/HRD, COP/Frederick Adu Anim and some other Senior Police Officers and some university officials.
