District Rector Osun State College of TechnologyEsa-Oke, Samson Adegoke, escaped from suspected murder while traveling to Ilesa.
The Rector was traveling in an official vehicle with a driver when he was attacked at 4pm on the Esa-Oke/Ilesa road.
The attackers, who were in a Toyota Camry, shot at the rector’s vehicle but the driver refused to stop.

Mr. Adegoke said the unknown gunmen were after his life, and he immediately reported the incident to the police in Ijebu-Jesa.
Yemisi Opalola, the police spokesperson in the country confirmed the incident.
“The matter was reported to the man and we are taking the necessary steps,” a police spokesman said.
