However, at the age of 36, the fine Spaniard will not be able to compete at that level. In the world of professional sports, he should have retired.
The fact that he won two Grand Slam titles last year is an indication of how phenomenal he is as a hard-working and talented legend of the game.

In the absence of Roger Federer, who later announced his retirement at the end of the 2022 season, and Novak Djokovic, whose controversial stance against vaccines sidelined him, Nadal won the Australian Open last year. More impressively, he went on to secure the French Open title at the end of the year, achieving his 22nd Grand Slam trophy.
But competing in an era that is one of the most competitive in the history of sports, and with a host of rising stars looking to take control of the new generation, Nadal should not be dominant in the last season.
An unforgettable career
With a mixture of experience and a bit of luck, he delivered results that few could have expected, and discovered what can only be considered as one of the best careers ever produced by a professional tennis player.
With two Olympic gold medals and a record 14 French Open titles under his belt, Nadal has long been cemented among the legends of the game, and although he is undoubtedly still competitive, it is important for us to accept that his other achievements should be a surprise. They should not be expected.
