The Deputy Senate President and governorship candidate of the Delta All Progressives Congress (APC), Ovie Omo-Agege, has challenged People’s Democratic Party(PDP,) governorship candidate and Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Sheriff Oborevwori, to a public debate on stewardship for the Urhobo people of the Delta Central Senatorial District.
Mr. Omo-Agege threw the challenge, was in Orerokpe, the headquarters of Okpe Local Government Area where the ward is active for the APC ward campaign to start for the new week.

“I use this opportunity to challenge Sheriff Oborevwori, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and the PDP governorship candidate to a debate on national television to account for our stewardship so far to the people we represent.”
Mr. Omo-Agege said the 2023 governorship election in Delta State is usually between APC and PDP and therefore, he expects Mr. Oborevwori and himself, both Urhobos, to submit a stewardship report card to the Constituent, in full view of Deltans and Nigerians. generally.
He said it would be interesting for Mr. Oborevwori, as the Speaker and the third citizen of Delta State, with all the development projects that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is doing in his own Owa-Alero village, to say what he brings to his own constituents, even with all approved debt for the governor.

“It is very sad that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa brought Speaker Oborevwori as PDP candidate to cover his tracks, but all ethnic groups in Delta State are against Okowa’s bad choice for successor.”
He is committed to completing the PTI / Orerokpe / Eku / Abraka Road, building a bridge linking Agbarho and Orerokpe, and ensuring that the abandoned Sapele Technical College is revived when he is elected governor of Delta State.

Earlier, Mr. Omo-Agege’s running mate, Jum’at Osanebi, noted that the provision of all funds in the state by Mr. Oborevwori, but regretted that the speaker, Okpe’s son, could not use his office to pull anything important for the constituency.
APC Candidate for the seat of Okpe LGA in the Delta State House of Assembly, Pahlawan Omwirhven, a lawyer, said the House of Assembly is not the place you send touts, and promised to be dedicated if elected a member of the house.
“I will carefully read all the documents that come before signing, I will not sign the fortunes of my constituents,” he said.
Ede Dafinone, the senatorial candidate for Delta Central, posited that all the candidates of the APC can be trusted and it is time for Deltans and Nigerians in general, to enjoy good governance.
In Aghalokpe, Mr. Omo-Agege visited his mother’s family compound where prayers for victory in the 2023 governorship election were offered by the head of the Onokpayunu family, Akika Adota.
