The Oluwo of Iwoland, Adewale Akanbi (Three 1), has named his newborn daughter after Olofin Adimula of Ile-Ife, Luwo Gbagida.
Luwo Gbagida is the only female Olofin Adimula of Ile-Ife and the mother of Adekola Telu, who founded the ancient city of Iwo.
Conducting his own naming ceremony in the midst of traditional rulers, clerics, community leaders and sympathizers, Oluwo named Luwo, Adewumi, Sultana, Fatimoh, and Rahmat.

Oluwo described Luwo Gbagida as the bold, self-confident, and visionary first female monarch of the universe.
Oluwo’s ​​statement through his press secretary, Alli Ibraheem, read: “Today, I am making a big history by naming my son in the Amazon, Iya wa (our mother), Luwo Gbagida..”

“Luwo Gbagida is the only woman of Olofin Adimula from Ile-Ife. Her sign and trustworthiness produced Iwo. She gave the crown to her only son, Adekola Telu, to found the city of truth (Ilu Ayekooto), Iwo.

“LUWO is the original descendant of Oduduwa. He acted like Oduduwa, and various monumentally enjoyed his reign.
“I have a lot in common. He was the 16th Olofin Adimula of Ile-Ife while I was the 16th Oluwo. My coronation was on January 16, 2016.”

Luwo Gbagida (sometimes spelled Luwo) is the traditional ruler of Ile Ife in Nigeria, the ancestral home of the Yoruba people.
He replaced Ooni Giesi and was replaced by Ooni Lumobi. Ooni Luwoo’s administration remains the only one of women in Ife till date.
