NPP sympathizes with the Kejetia Market fire victims
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has sympathized with the Kejetia Market fire victims.
The Director of Communications for the party Richard Ahiagbah tweeted that “We sympathize with the Kejetia market women, men, and the people of Kumasi for the various degrees of loss. Let’s come together to rebuild better and stronger from the ashes. We stand with Kejetia!”
Part of the rebuilt Kejetia market was gutted by fire on Wednesday, March 15.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) faced difficulties in controlling the fire.
“The situation is very serious here,” our Ashanti Region reporter Ibrahim Abubakar earlier reported.
Traders were seen running as thick smoke billowed from the back of the market.
Many tried to save some of their merchandise during the fire.
