NPP lost seats in the Central Region because there was no unity — Kennedy Agyapong

Ahead of the 2020 general elections, the ruling NPP has 19 seats while the NDC holds four parliamentary seats in the Region.

The NPP lost nine parliamentary seats to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) which swept 13 of the 23 Regional seats with nine new seats, captured from the NPP.

The maverick politician who spoke about the possibility of the NPP winning the lost seats, said “There is no unity because someone is campaigning against party members to make them lose.”

Meanwhile, NPP members and sympathizers have been urged to unite to “end the eight-year government cycle.”

A member of the government communications team, Eric Okyei Baffour said members of the party came out and spread the good work of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for ordinary Ghanaians to appreciate and vote in large numbers for the NPP to continue governing the country.

He stressed that the NPP government will lead Ghanaians to a better life and support businesses despite the current economic woes.
