The King of Dagbon, Ya-Na Abukari II has said that media reports claiming he has endorsed NPP flag bearer Alan Kyerematen’s bid are false.

The former Minister of Trade, who has resigned from government to pursue his flag ambitions, called on King Dagbon on Monday, and after the visit, selected newspapers reported that Ya-Na had told Alan Kyerematen that it was time for Alan to lead. NPP is the flag bearer.

King Dagbon categorically issued a disclaimer stating that the report was false.

A press statement signed by Ya-Na’s Secretary, denied the reports made and affirmed Ya-Na’s openness to the public.
