There is no bigger Black Sherif song than ‘Fa No Fom’ – DJ Azonto
DJ Azonto made an interesting statement on 3FM Drive that his hit single, Fa No Formhas courted more world attention than any of Black Sherif’s songs.
Currently, DJ Azonto has twelve awards to his name, mostly awarded locally, including Face of Ghana Youth Awards, Most Consistent Artiste of the Year – Ghana Premier Award, Arts Festival Conference, DJ Azonto – African Spotlight Artist of the year and Most Influential Artiste of the Year – Ghana Premier Award.
According to DJ Azonto, the hottest single, Fa No Formmore popular than all of Blacko’s songs, supporting his point with the award he won from the category featuring Black Sherif’s Kwaku The Traveller.
“Fact is fact, and there is only one fact. We know that Blacko is an international artist, and I give him the award. But none of Blacko’s songs have traveled more than Fa No Form. That’s a fact.”
He continues with a list of places – like Chad, Afghanistan and Turkey – where Fa No Fom has become famous through data from streaming platforms.
DJ Azonto also revealed his intention to contest the most sought after award, VGMA Artiste of the Year. He said he had filed his nominations with the belief that he would be the winner this year.
