We’ve reached that time when the contenders for next year’s White House race are starting to put their hats in the ring and show that they can make official bids for the party’s nomination.
The Republican contest has been partially affected because Donald Trump has announced that he will stand. That makes it harder for other potential runners to step forward, but one that looks set to move is former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley.
During Trump’s presidency, he served as the US ambassador to the United Nations.
In several interviews in the past few days, he was able to show his interest in moving forward, but at the same time did not criticize Trump. One observation about the former president is that he notes that in all but one of the last 8 White House races, Republicans have come in second place in the general election.
I think he looks the part and has bet at 17 to 1.
