District President Campaign Council All Progressive Congress (APC) has accused the two main opposition parties, the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labor Party of seeking to use the courts to stop the collection of results.
The campaign, in a statement issued on Monday by the Director of Public Affairs of the PCC, Festus Keyamo, stated that the Electoral Act prohibits the courts from stopping the conduct of elections in Nigeria.
He stated that the aggrieved party cannot use the court to stop the election process because it violates article 84 (15) of the Election Act which prohibits giving an order to stop the conduct of the election.
Disagree about uploading results in IReV
Both the PDP and LP have rejected the collection of results at the National Collection Centre, insisting that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should upload the results to the election results viewing portal (IRev).
Representatives of both parties and several other political parties on Monday walked out of the protest center during the collection of results.
Mr. Melaye tried to disrupt the presentation of the results by the Ekiti State REC and collective officers, insisting that the commission should upload the results on IReV and display them for review when the state collection officers and RECs present the results.

PDP AND LABOR PARTY SHOPPING FOR COURT ORDERS to stop the announcement of presidential election results and throw the country into a constitutional crisis.
We have it on good authority that the People’s Democratic Party and the Labor Party have perfected a plan to finally destroy our democracy and throw the country into a constitutional crisis by secretly requesting an exparte court order to stop the announcement of the Presidential Election results that they are afraid to oppose. those people.
The walk-out that took place today at the National Collation Center is just a precursor to the execution of the plan
Nigerians will remember that the 12 June 1993 debacle that brought Nigeria to its knees and caused our country’s international isolation has been precipitated by a court injunction ending the announcement of the Presidential Election results. The court order was obtained by a certain Association for a better Nigeria led by one Chief Authur Nzeribe. This is exactly what Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi want to foist on this nation again because of their inordinate ambitions. This is not surprising because the two candidates were not seen when ASIWAJU fought for the democracy we enjoy today.
However, we want to draw the attention of Nigerians, the Judiciary and the world to the provisions of section 84 (15) of the Electoral Act which prohibits the granting of injunctions to stop the conduct of elections (including the declaration of results). The section states:
‘Nothing in this section shall authorize the court to suspend the holding of a primary election or a general election under this Act pending the determination of a claim.’

This led to instructions to campaign organisations, particularly spokespeople to continue issuing statements, making false claims of ‘victory’ when there was not a single scientific basis for such claims. For example, as strange as some of the claims of manipulation are, they do not show one presidential election result in one unit in all countries that calculates a certain number with a result sheet signed by the next agent. replaced at the Collation Center. All we hear are sound bites from spokespersons, huffing and puffing about winning the election just to whip up public sentiment to prepare the ground to reject the results when they are finally released by INEC.
For us, our position is very simple and straight forward: we want to allow the legal process to announce the results of the presidential election in a peaceful and orderly manner. ASIWAJU is not desperate, but very confident of victory.
Therefore, we would like to advise anyone who wants to help and support these candidates along this well-known section to remember the disaster of June 12. He also wants to learn a lesson or two from President Muhammadu Buhari who went to court in 2003, 2007 and 2011 when the same PDP ‘defeated’ him in the presidential election under controversial circumstances. President Buhari, being a true statesman and democrat, has never resorted to tactics to declare himself President.
May words suffice for the wise.
thanks.
