The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday said it has reviewed the registration fees to be paid by clubs to participate in the 2023 Federation Cup competition.
NFF Acting Director of Competitions, Ruth David, disclosed that boys clubs will pay N70,000 to be part of the competition while girls clubs will only pay N50,000.
“The federation chose to review the fees down to encourage more clubs to participate in this year’s competition in the men’s and women’s categories,” he said.
But David said the 2023 competition program itself has not changed from what was officially communicated to the Football Association (FA) in the 36 countries and the FCT.
“Registration of the club will continue over two weeks from Monday to January 30, when the submission of the players’ completed form for the production of the license will be from January 31 to February 6,” she said.
The NFF official added that this year’s Federation Cup competition in various states and the FCT will be held between February 18 and March 19.
“The FAs in the state and FCT have been asked to submit the names of their two representatives for the national competition to the NFF by March 20,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the dates for the playoff matches of the competition, the National Draws and the different stages of the national competition, will be determined soon.
