Laura Perlongo take for Instagram on Thursday to reveal that she had miscarried. Sharing a picture of her manicure, the 37-year-old magazine writer used her nails as an analogy for pregnancy loss and wrote in the caption:
“This manicure has been through a lot. Will change, that manicure, n feel lil sad to see her go. Maybe it’s obvious, maybe not. A girl’s life is like a trip. Life n death, business as usual. No need for sympathy or what -what, I just don’t want to change this one nail without saying even if I want to.”
According to Laura, she and catfish The hosts were not planning to share the pregnancy with the world until they were together – but sadly it changed:
“But everything is strong and real or maybe soft and fast. Gains. Losses. That’s all. A bunch of blurry garbage pictures with uncertain faces. Not planning to post until 14w and I think it will have a different spin. Not planning anything . And if it happens to you too, I’m just saying it happens a lot. I’m just sayin I LOVE THIS GD MANICURE. And a very real fantasy of what could happen.

He continued:
“New month new nails and that’s okay. Now there are still many hands to hold. Maybe forever for me. Until you let me hold the next baby, of course. Love you. All moms and future moms. All babes n future babes .Fathers of the future too.But wake up with that baby when it comes to DADS or you’re not on the list and maybe that’s all I’m talking about.
Along with a picture of her fingernails, the post included a picture of a positive pregnancy test, a picture of her belly, and several videos of her children, aged 6. Cleo James4 years Beau Bobby Bruceand 16 months Cy Monroe, including one of them coloring and closing the picture with a central cut. As her followers were confused by the message, Laura jumped into the comments to explain that she had miscarried and thought the pictures would explain what happened:
“I forgot to say I miscarried with the picture, sry for the confusion. I thought the blank body part was cut out of the drawing but I depended too much on hindsight. Anyway, no baby! But thank you for all the love and texts”
